Zenith bank Ghana MD to retire from the bank

 

News from Zenith Bank suggests that, Managing Director and CEO of Zenith Bank Ghana, Daniel Asiedu is retiring from the bank.

Citi Business News can confirm his retirement takes effect at the end of this month.

It’s unclear who will be taking over the position after his exit.

Sources familiar with the matter say Daniel Asiedu who served the bank for ten years will not be taking up a role in the banking industry but may be going into full time ministry as a pastor.

Daniel Asiedu was the Chief Operating Officer of the Bank at inception and was appointed to the Board as an Executive Director in July 2009.

He was elevated to the position of Managing Director/CEO in January 2010.

Daniel Asiedu is a Chartered Accountant by profession.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and an Executive Masters degree in Business Administration (Finance Option) from the University of Ghana.

During his tenure at Zenith bank he was awarded the Outstanding Role Model Award as well as the exceptional Leadership Award.
