At the product launch in Accra, the Chief Operations Officer of Advans Ghana, Mrs Barbara Odei, said the introduction of the product formed part of the company’s initiative to provide support for private schools in Ghana to enable them to upgrade their educational infrastructure.

“The upgrade includes the refurbishment of school blocks, improvement of library facilities, among other things,” she said.

She said the introduction of the school development project would help school children across the country to get the best education with the aim of shaping their future

“As we all know, children are the bedrock of the future and if they get good education, we know that things will go on well and that is why Advans Ghana is championing this project, especially for private schools to ensure our children are well educated. We remain committed to offering the best banking services to our customers and the good people of Ghana as a whole,” she noted.

First cycle schools

The Head of School Development Project  of Advans, Mrs Elise O. Darko, underscored the need for the country to develop the educational sector.

She said a study conducted by the financial institution revealed that private first cycle schools dominated the country’s basic educational landscape.

Those private first cycle schools were in great need of financial support, hence the  establishment of the new product to address the challenges, Mrs Darko said.
