Afb Ghana unveils paperless loan

The afb Ghana plc, a financial institution in Ghana, has introduced a new channel of loan application that allows customers to access loans via their mobile phones across the country.

Dubbed the “Paperless Loan,” it is expected to provide clients with convenience in accessing loans.

Speaking at the launch of the service in Accra last Wednesday, the Managing Director (MD) of afb Ghana, Mr Arnold Parker, said the new programme was born out of the need to always provide the best of service to customers, being one of the biggest salary loan lenders in the country.

“We want our customers to have a unique experience in our service delivery in the way that no other institution does. This new sales channel gives them just that, ” he said.

He noted that presently, the system operates on four mobile phone company platforms in all the 10 regions in the country.

Mr Parker explained that that channel had been introduced to all mobile phone users in Ghana so that accessing an afb loan was made easier and simpler for the customers.

He added that there was no better time to introduce the sales channel than now, especially when the company continued to explore the frontiers of financial inclusion through the use of technology.

“As we seek to grow as an organisation, our passion is to continuously ensure that our customer experience is world class. It is for that same reason that we will continue to introduce innovative products to benefit our numerous customers,” he added.

He indicated that with over 80,000 customers in Ghana alone, afb provided financial solutions to public and civil servants, as well as private sector salaried workers.
afb Ghana plc is part of the afb Group which has operations in Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania with plans to expand to other parts of Africa.
