Capital Bank partners AWA to drive sale of airline tickets

Capital Bank has entered into a strategic partnership with domestic carrier, African World Airlines to facilitate the sale of the airline’s tickets through all the branches of the indigenous bank.

The partnership, according to the CEO of the Bank, Reverend Fitzgerald Odonkor, fits into the bank’s strategy of becoming a stronger player in Ghana’s retail banking space.

“As a contemporary African Bank with the vision to become the local bank of excellence for African markets providing the standard of measure for stakeholder return we are have positioned ourselves to deliver excellence through consistent investment in technology and innovation,” he said.

According to the indigenous bank, it has deployed a state of the art payment system that is highly adaptable with third party systems in order to make payments for various services very simple and convenient.

Capital Bank recently signed over 16 schools including the University of Ghana and the Ghana Institute of Languages onto its school fees collection platform.

The bank also expects to roll out three new branches this year to increase the its branch network to 21
