CEO of Innova DDB is new AAG President

download (7)The Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) has designated the position of President to the Chief Executive Officer of Innova DDB Ghana, Joel Edmund Nettey for a two year term in office.

Mr Nettey replaces Mrs Norkor Duah, the out-going president.

 

Also elected are Mansa Amowuah and Mr Martin Osei as Vice President and Treasurer respectively. Ten other individuals and companies were also elected as members into the Executive Council.

 

In his acceptance speech, Mr Nettey pledged the commitment of the newly-elected leaders to ensure that the needs of all interest groups in the association, including media agencies, outdoor companies, production houses, creative agencies and individual members, are met.

“As we take up this mandate, you are entrusting us with, my Executive, the Council and I, commit to work with you, one and all, as well as our augmented Secretariat, now made up of an Executive Director, an Operations Manager, a dedicated Outdoor Co-ordinator, an Accountant and a Secretary,” he said.

 

He thanked members for the confidence reposed in them to steer the affairs of the company.

 

He urged Corporate and Individual Members of the AAG, to share with the Executive and Council, concerns, observations, advice and especially ideas, on how to move the industry forward.

“We will call on and count on each of you … morning, noon and night. There are various committees to serve on, and it is time to see a good blend of experience and new ideas,” he said.

Mr Nettey also pushed for members to participate in the International Advertising Association Africa Congress being hosted by AAG in Accra this year,  dubbed “Africa Rising – The New Consumer Generation” from November 12th to 14th.

The occasion was also used to admit Corporate and Individual Members into the AAG.
