Christian Community Microfinance will maintain Standards

The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, has assured that the Christian Community Microfinance Ltd (CCML) will not compromise on standards and the security of their clients’ money.

He said the mission of the CCML was to deliver sustainable returns by offering excellent customer-centred financial services to support its community.

Rev. Opuni-Frimpong gave the assurance when he interacted with the staff of the CCML in Accra.

Why the visit

The visit of the General Secretary was to assure the workers of the continuous support of the Christian Council and also to assure clients that their money with CCML were secure.

Rev. Opuni-Frimpong, who was accompanied by the Board Chairman of the CCML, Mr Albert Essamuah, urged the staff to remain committed to excellent service delivery, hard work, humility and above all, focus on respect for humanity.

Commitment

He explained that the fact that CCML continued to remain in business was because of its commitment to continuous improvement on its service delivery, stressing, “it takes good staff to succeed.”

“CCML is the right place to do business. We have a good team, hardworking staff and they are very clear in their mind: they are not there to steal, they are not to manipulate, and they are to act for the common good of humanity.’’

“We want to build a team that are carrying the principles and values that we used for our educational and health sectors,” he said, pointing out that currently, the best senior high schools and health facilities in the country were the church-based ones.

Invitation to all

Rev. Opuni-Frimpong, therefore, called on all church-based organisations, various church denominations and individuals to invest with CCML, “because it is good business, please identify yourselves with us. We will do you good.”

Touching on excessive promises to clients, he said CCML was functioning within the parameters set by the Bank of Ghana for all microfinance institutions in the country and would, therefore, not go out of its way to promise something that was not sustainable.

He, therefore, urged the staff of the CCML to work in such a way as to attract more clients and concentrate on building a stronger base.

Assurance The Managing Director of the CCML, Mrs Naa Odey Asante, assured the General Secretary and his entourage that: “We will not disappoint the Christian Council, we will not disappoint our clients.”

She said the staff were working hard to ensure that CCML makes all its stakeholders proud and further assured that the staff had resolved to work even harder for better results.
