Dalex finance is ‘Business of the year’

Dalex Finance has been adjudged the business of the year at the just-ended Ghana Economic Forum (GEF) in Accra.

The honour conferred on the company by the Forum, makes Dalex Finance the first institution to win the Business of the year award since the Forum debuted in 2012.

The CEO of Dalex Finance, Kenneth Thompson was also honoured as the Businessman of the year as the financial company made it a double at the Forum.

The Forum climaxed its two day event with a special awards ceremony to recognize individuals and institutions whose activities are contributing immensely to the growth of the Ghanaian economy.

In all, four other individuals and companies received various awards at the Forum.

The CEO of Reroy Cables, Kate Papafio won the Businesswoman of the year award while Mike Nyinaku, CEO of Beige Capital won the Entrepreneur o the year award. Databank also won Business pioneer of the year award with Unilever taking the Business with conscience of the year plaque.

The Ghana Economic Forum is an initiative of the Business & Financial Times (B&FT) and it’s supported by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation as the lead sponsor.

The Forum each year attracts high-end participants from across the globe to network and discuss issues and propose ideas that will advance the economy of Ghana.

This year’s edition of the economic forum was on the theme: “The Ghanaian-owned Economy – Setting the agenda for achieving it.”

Several high-net worth policymakers and businessmen participated in the Forum which started on Wednesday and ended on Thursday evening with the GEF Awards night.
