Dana Air to fly twice daily from Feb 1

Nigerian-based carrier, Dana Air, is to start a second daily service from Accra to Lagos on February 1, 2016.

The airline, which currently operates a daily evening service will compliment this with a daily morning service from February 1.

A new double daily service is also being planned for March from Accra to Abuja, thus intensifying competition in the sector.

Dana Air has been voted Nigeria’s number one airline in 2015 and has won many accolades including one of Nigeria’s best employers.

A statement by Dre Aviation, Dana’s representative in Ghana, said the airline is planning further routes to the West Coast from Ghana in the near future.

By adding new routes from Accra, Dana and Dre Aviation plan to become one of the country’s biggest aviation customers, thus forwarding the Ghana Airport Company’s ambitions to establish itself as West Africa’s major hub”.
