FBN Bank repositioned…eyes top-five ranking

FBN Bank Ghana Limited says it has re-equipped as part of its rebranding process, using the key enablers of technology, branding and resourcing to differentiate itself from competitors in the industry.

“Following the acquisition of 100 percent equity interest in ICB by First Bank of Nigeria Limited, and the subsequent rebranding and official launch of the bank as FBN Bank Ghana, management of the bank has embarked on transforming the bank’s systems, processes and procedures,” Board Chairman Mr. Joseph Yieleh Chireh said.

Speaking at the launch of a second Spintex branch of the bank in Accra, he said with the many financial institutions dotted along Spintex Road one might wonder why FBN Bank Ghana is opening a second branch there.

“The rationale is that the bank has a strategy to expand its presence in the country in order to meet the increasing financial solutions needs of individuals and businesses operating within this enclave.

“Since excellent service delivery underpins the business of banking, FBN Bank is aspiring to attain a top-five ranking in all segments of industry customer service surveys, and reduce customer complaints to the barest minimum,” he added.

The opening of a second Spintex Road branch brings the number of branches the bank is currently operating in Ghana to 18.

This also signals the bank’s commitment to becoming the clear leader in the country’s financial sector, as well as setting the standard for customer experience and excellence in financial service solutions.

Mr. Seyi Oyefeso, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, said everything the bank does is with the aim of meeting the needs of its different stakeholder groups in order to provide value, meaning and opportunities for them.

He said the bank is focused on providing quality service that will ensure strengthening the bank’s position on the country’s banking landscape.

FBN Bank Ghana emerges from an enviably rich heritage and banking tradition, which has shaped its business to become the clear leader across several markets in Africa and beyond.

“Therefore, we have left no stone unturned to improve touchpoints through which our customers access our services, with the introduction of new solution-based products and services for individuals and the business community.

To this extent, FBN Bank is the only bank issuing and activating Personalised Master Cards instantly in the country to our customers.”

The parent bank, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, boasts an enduring business tradition that spans more than 120 years and has been enriched by the time-tested values of trust and excellence, backed by the latest technology and diversity of well-trained staff.
