First Atlantic Bank opens Adum branch

The First Atlantic Bank (FAB) Limited has officially opened its newest branch at Adum, in Kumasi, to bring convenience and ease to its growing clientele within the central business district of the Metropolis.

Establishment of the Adum branch brings to 19 the total number of branches in the country, and it is the third branch operated by the FAB in Kumasi, which aims at scaling up its number of branches nationwide to 30 by end of 2016.

The other two branches include the Suame and Nhyaeso branches.

The officials of FAB, which first opened its doors in Kumasi as far back as 1999, remarked that the decision to venture into the Kumasi market has been one of the best decisions taken by the bank.

The Executive Director of the bank, Mr. Daniel W. Addo, said the establishment of their newest branch is essential to operations of FAB, given the distance and stress customers hitherto went through in accessing the bank.

He also indicated that the decision was largely informed by the persistent requests from customers for the bank to extend its tentacles to Adum and other locations within the city.

Mr. Addo noted that the bank has undergone a lot of transformation to get to its present stage, and is better-placed to offer more customer-centric services and products that address the unique needs of its customers.

“At First Atlantic Bank, we have set broad objectives to create an institution that competes effectively in the local and sub-regional financial market place, in a manner that showcases the best of our collective talents,” he stated.

To this end, the bank is championing re-creation of the consumer finance market, leading private/public sector partnerships in supporting acceleration of the country’s economic development.

This is said to be born from a vision of becoming the bank of choice for transactions, especially within Ghana and the West African sub-region.

The Executive Director maintained that while offering the ‘differential banking’, customers are put at the forefront of everything they do.

He expressed his appreciation for the support and commitment the bank has enjoyed from customers over the years.

The Akyempemhene Oheneba Aduse Poku, special guest of honour at the ceremony, advised the bank to further deepen its market share by taking advantage of the would-be opportunity with the departure of other universal banks from the country.

He said the Adum branch of FAB’s location is remarkably convenient and well thought-out in order to attend the needs of its growing existing clientele, as well as potential customers within the central business district of Kumasi.

He appealed to the Bank for help in building a viable business community by investing in businesses, particularly within the Adum enclave.

The ceremony was also used to launch a give-back campaign dubbed the ‘Instant Dash Promo’.

All customers need to do is open savings account and deposit a minimum of GH?200 or deposit same into an existing savings account and instantly receive a gift.
