First Capital Plus Bank is now Capital Bank

The First Capital Plus Bank has been rebranded to be known as Capital Bank to position itself for a take-off in providing improved banking services to its clientele base.

In what started as a savings and loans organisation in 2009, the bank obtained its operational licence from the Bank of Ghana in 2013 making it the first indigenous financial institution in the country to operate.

Launching the rebranded bank in Accra on Tuesday, the Vice-President, Mr Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, stated that changing the bank’s identity with the rebrand ought to come with better customer services which he described as key to banking business.

He said emerging first runner-up at the recent banking awards placed a further responsibility on the bank to put in place well-designed products and services to meet customer expectations.

Touching on some challenges facing the banking sector in the country, the Vice-President urged the management of the bank to create significant buffers to deal with the current economic challenges in the business environment.
