The 2nd edition of the Ghana SME Hub has been held at Takoradi, the Western regional capital of Ghana for Small and Medium Scales Business owners and managers in the region.
Held in partnership with MTN, Ghana leading Telecommunication Company and sponsored by UniBank and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), the four-day event attracted hundreds of participants and business from the oil city.
The series of activities included a two-day workshop for SME business owners and managers, a special dinner and market fair. Hundreds of participants who attended the two-day workshop at the Akroma
Plaza were taken through topics such as Technology, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Credit Application procedures, Credit Facilities Management, Starting and financing small businesses.
Participants of the event who spoke to Business World Magazine on the sidelines at the workshop said they were impressed with the quality of the content and expert advice that they received. They also expressed the hope that this will not be the end but a continuous engagement to help them grow their business.
Other participants also observed the importance of networking throughout the event and implored for annual events such as the ‘Ghana SME Hub’ to impact thousands of SMEs since SMEs are the fulcrum of growth in most economies globally.
‘The Ghana SME Hub’ comprises a series of activities organized across the country for SME business owners and managers to enable them engage with experts on best practices and solutions for managing various components of their business.
The main objective is to promote the growth of SME market and provide a platform for service providers to engage SME business owners and managers with solutions for managing their businesses effectively.
