Ghana’s Dext Technology Represents Ghana At 2018 Africa Prize For Engineering Innovation

Ghanaian Technology Company’s founding partner Michael Asante-Afrifa will be representing Ghana at the 2018 Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation.

The competition, which is scheduled to take place in Kenya on 13 June 2018, will see Ghanaian innovators in science compete against other scientists from Nigeria, Uganda and Zimbabwe for the ultimate prize of £25,000.

The runners-up will each take home £10,000.

Chosen from among 16 contestants: Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Uganda, the top four were selected for engineering innovations that provide new solutions.

Michael Asante-Afrifa, together with his partner Charles Ofori Antipem, set up Dext Technology Ghana and developed the Science set, a mini science lab which is designed in the form of a textbook. The Science Set can be used by students to perform 26 different science experiment.
