GOIL reduces its diesel price for Easter

The GOIL filling station has reduced its diesel price by four pesewas per liter ahead of the Easter festive season.

This reduction implies that vehicle owners who buy diesel at any GOIL branch will be able to save 18 pesewas on every gallon purchased.

The price change takes effect, from Wednesday March 23, 2016.

A statement by GOIL said the decision forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility towards cushioning consumers during the Easter festivities.

Fuel prices were increased last week in response to a rise in crude oil prices.

A statement issued by the Chamber explained that “activities and movements in world market prices, which have gone up in the past two weeks, from below $30/barrel  to over $36/barrel as of Wednesday, has resulted in an upward adjustment of pump prices across the various BDCs.”
