IAS/FedEx boosts businesses of start-up entrepreneurs, others

As part of measures to boost the business of entrepreneurs, particularly start-ups and e-commerce business owners, IAS Ghana, Licensee of Fedex Express Corporation, has put in place measures to help players in that space connect with their customers to help grow their activities.

This includes a Web-based robust Courier Management System which enables customers to ship and track their domestic shipments and also receive SMS notifications.

In an interview with the Graphic Business on efforts being made by the company to help grow businesses in the country, the Managing Director of the IAS/Fedex Ghana, Mr Paul Tanoe, said “this is one of such technological advancements we have introduced because we want to see small businesses grow on all fronts”.

“We also have the Mobile Apps for Pick-Ups and deliveries of packages in real time”, he said.

Mr Tanoe said the company was interested in helping small businesses grow because of their potential to absorb a large number of the unemployed in the country.

“Our company wants to play its role in ensuring that the private sector thrives by making business activities easy and faster for the people”, he said.

Mr Tanoe stated that aside the special focus on start-ups, “IAS/FedEx Ghana offers complete services and solutions to meet all your shipping requirements by connecting your business from every strategic location in Ghana to the rest of the World.
