Ken Ofori-Atta and others face vetting committee today

Ken Ofori-Atta, Finance Minister designate, will be appearing before the parliamentary committee today, Friday, January 20, 2017.

Others who face the committee are Senior Minister Designate, Yaw Osafo Marfo, National Security Minister Designate, Albert Kan Dapaah, and Defence Minister Designate Dominic Nitiwul

The Minority has vowed to grill the ministerial nominees, to ensure that all of them meet the basic requirements in the country’s law for minister of state

On the second day, 21st January, the committee will sit to vet Attorney-General & Justice Minister-nominee, Gloria Akuffo, and Minister-nominee for the Interior Ministry, Ambrose Dery.

The Committee will also vet Minister-nominee for Local Government & Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, Minister-nominee of Trade and Industry, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Minister-nominee of Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and Minister-nominee of Energy, Boakye Agyarko on Monday, 23rd January, 2017

The rest of the nominess, including Shirley Ayorkor Botchway, Minister nominee for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, Education and Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, Health, will appear before the Appointments committee on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
