Lufthansa offers free stopovers in Europe

As a means of enhancing its customers’ travel experience going into the festive period, Lufthansa German Airlines is offering the convenience of stopping over in Europe en route to North America for free.

This means that a passenger can fly from Accra via Frankfurt to London, spend a few days there and then continue direct from London to their destinations on Lufthansa’s partner airlines without the need to backtrack to Frankfurt.

The stopover comes with no charge and is possible at other European getaways like Paris, Amsterdam, and Rome among others.

“With our latest promotional fares to North America, valid for sale until 09 December 2014 we are happy to offer our customers a free stopover in London en-route to the USA or Canada,” Kevin Markette, Lufthansa Country Manager said.

Promotional fare from Accra to Chicago, USA starts from as low as GHC 4,090 all inclusive. Washington also starts from GHC4,290 all inclusive and there are many other destinations to choose from.

Lufthansa’s European promotions are also currently on sale and fares start from as low as GHc2190 all inclusive, for example to Paris or GHc 2290 to Amsterdam. London fares start from GHc2690 all inclusive”
Lufthansa operates a state of the art widebody Airbus A330-300 five times a week– except Monday and Wednesday– nonstop on the Accra Frankfurt route.

The widebody aircraft is equipped with the award winning First class, with a 5 star rating by Skytrax, Business class flat beds and spacious Economy Class.

Lufthansa new Premium Economy Class will be launched on the Accra route in 2015. Passengers can now benefit from a multilingual entertainment selection of over 100 movies, 200 different TV channels and hundreds of CDs for their entertainment on board.

On flights leaving Accra Lufthansa also proudly serves Ghanaian flavor meals such as Jollof rice and Kelewele.
