MPC maintains policy rate at 26%

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Ghana has voted to maintain the policy rate at 26 percent.

Addressing the press after the 69th regular meeting of the MPC, Governor of the central bank Dr. Kofi Wampah said the rate is being maintained because inflation pressures remain subdued.

Dr. Wampah said the decision to maintain the MPR followed a decline in February inflation to 18.5 percent.
