NDPC budget reduced

The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) will not meeting getting 13.8million they had requested, rather only 4.9million cedis.

Out of 13.8 million cedis requested by the NDPC, to roll out its 40-year development plan, only 4.9 million cedis was approved by the Finance Minister.

The Commission needed the 13.8 million to address challenges such as inadequate logistics, limited office space, and recruitment of technical staff, replace aged vehicles among others.

The cut in the budget would cause a serious setback to the Commission’s preparation of a long-term development planning framework and national planning module for 2016.
