The National Investment Bank (NIB) has opened a branch in Yendi in the Northern Region.
This brings the total number of NIB branches in the country to 44.
The NIB Yendi branch is also the fifth branch to be opened in the Northern Region.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of NIB, Mr John Kweku Asamoah, reiterated that NIB is poised to serve its numerous customers across the length and breadth of the country.
This, he said, is being done through branch expansion in all the regions in Ghana.
Mr Asamoah hinted of the opening of the Suame branch in Ashanti Region by the end of August this year.
He added that the bank is prospecting for branch locations in Korle-bu, Dzorwulu, Mankessim, Haatso and Aflao, as well as the University of Ghana Medical School.
According to him, the bank intends to relocate the Techiman and Dansoman branches in the course of the year to create more space and convenience for customers.
He assured customers that NIB has robust ICT facilities, which will enable customers access banking services in all regions and towns where NIB has a presence.
He also announced the bank’s intention to set up a contact centre for easy access to customers to ensure effective complaints management.
He has, therefore, challenged the public to bank with NIB because it has the track record, which it amply demonstrated over the years of serving the needs of industry and commerce.
The Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji A.B.A. Fuseini, appealed to the public to patronise the services of NIB. “NIB is a public bank hence the safety of customers money is assured”.
Alhaji Fuseini urged NIB to consider farmers in its loan offerings in the area since most of the people are farmers.
This, he said, will help boost economic activities in the area and the country as well.
