Prez Akufo-Addo appoints Yofi Grant to head GIPC

President Akufo-Addo has appointed Yofi Grant, an Investment banker as the Chief Executive Office of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).

Mr Grant who also doubles as an economist takes over from Mawuena Trebarh whose contract ended on January 20 this year after serving for four years.

He has worked with a number of private and public institutions, including the Bank of Ghana, Cal Bank and later Databank, where he held a number of senior positions, including Executive Director.

He has also served as the Executive Director, Data Bank Private Equity limited of Data Bank Group between 2010-2011.

Mr. Grant has over three decades of experience in finance and investment, including, but not limited to, treasury, financial restructuring and management, divestiture and privatisation, as well as equity, debt and project finance.

The University of Ghana alumni also co-managed the divestiture of the Ugandan government shares in National Insurance Corporation Limited.
