Starbow has hinted of plans to resume flights to the West African sub region this month.
The airline halted operations to the sub region in January 2013.
Starbow recently took delivery of two new aircrafts to help in its West African expansion drive.
Speaking to Citi Business News during the official reopening of Starbow Airlines sales office at OSU, the Chief Executive Officer of Starbow, James Eric Antwi said Starbow has the license to fly into 10 countries within the West African sub-region but will begin with Monrovia, Liberia and Freetown Sierra Leone before extending to the other countries.
“We are looking at doing all the West Coast flights but as I have told you already its needs to be planned properly because the first time we went into the operation into Abidjan and Benin, we did not get the numbers because we were just flying direct but this time we will not do direct flights. This time it will do connections so those who are travelling to Conakry, Monrovia can go through Abidjan, so we can pick them on our flights.”
He said the airline hopes to gradually increase its flights in the West Coast region with the arrival of the two new aircrafts.
He urged the airline’s customers and prospective ones to purchase tickets from the airline’s reopened osu sales office.
The Office is located at the old head office of Starbow Airline at Osu near the Salvation Army Headquarters.
