TEDxAccra, formally TEDxLabone, an annual event that takes inspiration from TED talks and leverages the TED experience at a community level by bringing together innovative thinkers and pioneering doers is set to take place on the 11th of April 2015.
The event was launched on Wednesday, 28th January, 2015 at the International Press Centre under the theme, “The Next Chapter”
Speakers have been selected from a distinguished nominations list and include many in Ghana as well as Ghanaians in the Diaspora. They will either deliver inspirational talks, performances and or presentations on new ideas, innovative creations and better ways of serving societal and business needs.
The objective of the event is to encourage and inspire the audience to move on to their own personal next chapter.
Speaking on the theme for the event, curator of TEDxAccra, Emmanuel Leslie Addae said the occasion was to “equip and inspire both speakers and audience unto boundless possibilities, to reflect ideas and to inspire thinking of a new generation of African thinkers and leaders”.
Some of the speakers for this year’s event include; Bernardinho Koku Avle, Kwame Leslie Dougan, Ruka Sanusi, Peace Hyde, Gena West, Ethel Cofie, Mohammed Issa, Fiifi Baidoo , Lauren Grimanis amongst others.
