Vodafone, Globacom partner to ‘improve customer experience’

UK-based Vodafone Group and Nigerian mobile operator Globacom have announced a new, non-equity partnership agreement, under which the pair will work together to improve customer experience in the two West African nations of Nigeria and Benin.

As per the agreement, they will be utilising a wide range of mobile, voice and data products, alongside Vodafone’s global experience.

The Partner Market agreement will help deliver enhanced roaming benefits for Globacom’s consumers and multinational corporate customers, while Vodafone will gain from its partner’s expertise and understanding of African markets.

‘This partnership is unique and far-reaching, giving corporate and individual subscribers on the Globacom network in Nigeria and the Republic of Benin an edge, particularly in voice and data services,’ Globacom’s Executive Director for Special Projects, Mike Jituboh said.

He added that the partnership is in line with Globacom’s tradition of partnering with global leaders to avail consumers of the best telecommunications services.’

With the signing of the deal with Globacom, the Vodafone Partner Markets community now spans 57 countries across six continents.
