Zenith Bank Ghana has been adjudged Leader in the Commercial Banks Sector, and the overall sixth-best entity in the Ghana Club 100 Rankings for 2014 — which were revealed by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) at a glamorous awards event on October 22nd in Accra.
Recognised as an elite club of the best companies in Ghana, the Ghana Club 100 Rankings have been compiled by the GIPC since 1998 to put the spotlight on firms which are building successful enterprises and have established a reputation for corporate excellence.
Zenith’s solid performance on the key metrics of size, profitability and growth over the last three years drove its ascendancy to the sixth spot of the overall rankings, and the summit of the commercial banking sector rankings.
Commenting on this latest addition to Zenith’s laurel harvest in 2015, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank, Daniel Asiedu, said taking top-spot among banks in the Club 100 rankings proves once again that the bank is a veritable leader in the Ghanaian banking industry.
“It is a profoundly impressive honour to be the best among our peers. It speaks to our leadership in redefining the landscape of banking in Ghana through injecting a higher level of competition, efficiency, technology, and customer service which have brought us this far in the past 10 years,” he said.
“As with our other laurels, we dedicate this one, too, to our loyal customers — to whom we repeat our pledge to make banking always easier and better than anything they have ever experienced,” he added.
Zenith’s collection of awards in 2015 also includes winner of the Most Cashless Bank and Best Bank in Trade Finance, as well as second runner-up positions for the Best Bank in Long-Term Financing and Best Bank in Customer Care at the 2015 Ghana Banking Awards.
Zenith Bank was also the winner of the Best Banking Group in Ghana at the World Finance Awards 2015.Other laurels picked up by the bank are Best Corporate Bank, Best E-Commerce Bank and Best Customer Service Bank Ghana from the Global Banking and Finance Review Awards 2015.
